Yesterday morning the whole family went to the Quail Creek country club for an amazing easter egg hunt. My parents best friends are members and invited us for lunch. It was such a blast. We got there and immediately spotted the face painters. They were working on 2 kids and both of them were getting their faces painted like a bunny rabbit. I asked Peyton if that's what she wanted too, and she said no, she wanted to look like a butterfly. They didn't have any samples or pictures to chose from so I was hoping they would be able to do it. We couldn't believe how good they did. They even matched the colors to the dress Peyton was wearing.
After that we headed outside to ride the pony's. This has always been one of Peyton's favorite things to do when she has the opportunity to do so. We had a little scare though, because one of the pony's stopped and made Peyton's pony sort of buck and jerk. But Peyton held on tight and had a smile on her face the entire time!
We took a break to eat lunch and watch the magician before the egg hunt started. It was so cute. Peyton was at the back watching and somehow scooted herself to the front of the crowd. It was so fun watching her participate and crack up with all the kids. And she tried so hard to get the magician to use her on stage to help, but she never got called up :(
The actual Easter egg hunt was so much fun. She ran so fast and started picking up as many eggs as she could. The first group was 5 and under so she got a lot of eggs and kept up pretty well. But the second go around was with big kids. I am pretty sure they said there was 1000 eggs out there, and she got 6 of them! The big kids were just too fast. We hope Candy and Richard will invite us back next year!
