Welcome to the world Miss Harper Noel Whitmire

After a very long nine months, the day finally came to have my sweet baby. We woke up early and started getting ready to be at the hospital by 10:15 for my 12:15 C-Section. We took our time and actually we were ready with a little time to spare. So we stopped by Sonic to get Chad and Peyton some breakfast. While we were waiting I got a call from the hospital (it's about 9:45 at this time). I answered the phone and the lady said "Hi Annie, we were just wondering if you were still planning on having your baby today". UM YES I WAS! Apparently we were supposed to be there at 9:15 for a 11:15 surgery. Oops!!  She said it takes about 2 hours to prep and get fluids in me so I was still thinking we'd be going into surgery around noon since we got ther at 10:05. But I was wrong! As soon as we got there they took me straight back to start my IV. I had one lady doing that, one lady asking me a million questions and having me sign a billion papers and the anesthisiologist going over everything that would be happening once we went into surgery. It was the fastest hour of my life. By 11 we were heading back to surgery.

Chad and my mom got to be in the surgery room with me. Peyton was supposed to get to come in the room as soon as the pulled Harper out, but at the last minute someone in the hospital called the doctor and said she couldn't because we didn't have her shot records on us. I was very dissapointed, but Dr. Chambers bent the rules a bit and opened the door (Peyton and my dad were in the room connected to the operating room) as soon as she came out so Peyton could see her. It was the most amazing moment of my life. Getting to see Peyton's face light up when she first laid eyes on her baby sister was priceless.

Harper Noel Whitmire was born at 11:32 am. She weighed 8 lbs 7 oz and was 19 3/4 inches long.  She is absolutely gorgeous!!

Because of my C-section we had to stay 2 nights in the hospital. But we were ready to go after about 18 hours. I tried really hard to convince the dr to let us go, but she wasn't having it. Most C-section patients have to stay 3 nights.   Harper did amazing both nights. She latched on like a champ and slept a lot!!  We had planned on Peyton staying the night with us both nights at the hospital. We didn't want her to miss out on anything and we wanted our whole family together. Unfortunately my mom thought she had chicken pox so the first night she didn't get to stay. The next day we got it checked out and she didn't have chicken pox (thank goodness!) so she got to stay the night with us. It was absolutely perfect. Words can't explain how blessed we are.

Peyton in her "I'm the Big Sister" scrubs, ready to meet her Little Sister!

Last picture of my belly. It's huge!! So much bigger than with Peyton. But I only gained 35 lbs which was 5 less than with Peyton.

Mommy excited to meet her baby girl!

Peyton had to wear hospital scrubs since she was going to be in the operating room. This was the smallest size they had!

How cute is she? The dr's and nurses couldn't stop talking about how adorable she was!

Let's get this show on the road!

First picture of Harper! Over a pound bigger than Peyton was.

She doesn't look too happy here. But she sure is cute!

Mommy is already head over heels in love.

So is Daddy!

And Big Sister!
First picture of my beautiful family all together!
