Vacation Day 3: Durango, CO

Well, day 3 of our vacation has absolutely amazing! We got up early in the morning and drove to downtown Durango to hop on the train and head to Silverton.  It was a 3 1/2 hour train ride along the most beautiful scenic route that I've ever seen.  We were in one of the open train cars so we could see EVERYTHING and enjoy the amazing weather.  This was the one thing that Peyton had been looking forward too since we told her we were going on vacation.  She has been talking about the "Choo choo train" non stop.  So needless to say she was pretty pumped when we got to the train station.

After we got off the train we spent a few hours walking around the downtown Durango area.  It was so much fun.  The town is amazingly beautiful and had a ton of cool stores.  We did lots of shopping, walking, and site seeing! Oh and we got to eat at this awesome pizza shop that had the biggest pizza by the slice ever!  See pic below!!

Okay so here is the huge slice of pizza. You have to look very hard to really see how big it is. It was on a normal paper plate and hung off at least 6 inches over the plate.  Chad and I got full from this one piece. Delicious!
