We spent Christmas Eve this year with my family. We started out early in the morning at Tam's house for a huge breakfast and gifts for the kids. Tam made stuffed pancakes, tator tot casserole, bacon, biscuits and gravy, and a huge bowl of fruit. Not quite sure what came over her, but it was all delicious! We were supposed to go downtown and do the snowtubing and ice skating, but it ended up being way colder than planned and we didn't want the kids to be sick. So we just hang out for a while then headed home to let the girls nap and get ready for Jamo's birthday party that evening.
That evening my mom had all her family over to celebrate Jamo's birthday and so we could see my cousin's new twin babies. There ended up being over 35 people at her house! Luckily she has the room! We had a great time. Jamey always says that he never had birthday parties when he was little because his birthday is on Christmas Eve. So me, Tam and my mom gave him the birthday he never had (even though really he always had parties, not sure what he is talking about!) We even had a pinata for him. It was pretty funny, but I think he had a great time.
We ended up leaving pretty early to get home and get the girls to bed. We had to get ready for Santa to come that night!!
